Where would Italian cooking be without fresh tomatoes? Sliced, sieved, dried and chopped they are perfect as cooking ingredients or enjoyed in salads. Whatever part tomatoes play in your meal, the best way to capture the authentic Italian taste is to use them straight from the vine.

Our Costoluto di Parma tomato seeds will give you a truly old-fashioned variety with all the flavor you are looking for. They are heavy cropping and easy to grow without needing support. Don’t expect them to be beautiful though – they are a rustic variety that grows with bumps and grooves. Looks aside, they have a lovely meaty texture and very few seeds, so you can use them for anything that demands outstanding tomato taste. For authentic Italian tomato sauce cook them with herbs and garlic, vinegar and extra virgin olive oil.

There’s no better way to enhance your Italian dishes than with fresh herbs. With our seeds you can grow sage in a sunny spot all year round.

Sage is especially popular in Tuscany and other parts of central and northern Italy. Its pungent aroma and taste is great in sauces, with pork and chicken and essential for veal dish, saltimbocca. For an antipasto, dip larger sage leaves in a light batter and fry them in oil and enjoy them with white wine.
